The quintet has won the Tillett and Tunnell Trust awards and were selected by YCAT in 2006; the same year in which they made their Wigmore Hall debut.

The Baillie/Lisney Duo combines the talents of two of Britain's finest artists - acclaimed soloists and chamber musicians renowned for their virtuosity, integrity and temperament. Alexander Baillie is one of the world's leading cellists, as evidenced by his appearances with many of Britain's finest conductors, such as Sir Simon Rattle, Sir John Eliot Gardiner and Sir Alexander Gibson.

Formed in 2005 the ensemble comprises players from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. They have performed in France to capacity audiences.

In 2005 the group was selected from amongst the country's most outstanding young chamber groups to win the prestigious Philharmonia Orchestra/Martin Musical Scholarship Fund Ensemble Award. A highly successful debut recital in the Purcell Room soon followed. In 2006 the Royal Northern College of Music awarded the quartet the Sir John Barbirolli Memorial Prize for Chamber Music.
